Self check-in
How a selected client confirms they showed up for collection
Proposal:Workflow below is a proposal for the next design session. Identity-verification depth is the open question.
- 1. Client is notifiedSMS or app push at draw time with the collection window. No PHI in the message.
- 2. Client arrives and scansFront-desk kiosk shows a rotating QR code. Client scans with their phone, or staff enters the 6-digit code shown on the client's message.
- 3. Identity confirmedClient confirms last name + DOB (v1). Optional v2: photo match against EHR photo, staff attestation.
- 4. Order auto-createdThe pre-created Random order moves to Collected with a timestamp. Requisition prints. Missed windows generate a no-show flag.
Fairness rules
Every active member has equal probability per draw. No client is exempt for more than two consecutive draws.
Seeds are stored so any draw can be reproduced for court or audit requests.
Staff cannot see the next draw before it runs.
